To the Editor In the recent article titled "Oropharyngeal Cancer Incidence and Mortality Trends in All 50 States in the US, 2001-2017," smoking is discussed as a significant contributor to oropharyngeal cancer incidence in the states of the Southeastern and Midwestern United States, where tobacco use rates are also elevated. However, smoking among younger generations has lost popularity, and e-cigarettes have become the product of choice for those in middle and high school since 2014.
