Enantioselective crystallization of chiral inorganic crystals of ε‐Zn(OH)2 with amino acids
Many inorganic materials can form crystals but little is known about their enantioselective crystallization. In this article, we report on the enantioselective crystallization of ε‐Zn(OH) 2 (Wulfingite) chiral crystals using amino acids. Crystals of ε‐Zn(OH) 2 were crystallized from supersaturated sodium‐hydroxide and zinc‐nitrate aqueous solutions in the presence of L‐ or D‐Arginine. All our chiral measurements, such as selective chiral adsorption by circular dichroisem (CD) /chiral chromatography...

Molecular Supracence Resolving Eight Colors in 300‐nm Width: Unprecedented Spectral Resolution
Monitoring multiple molecular probes simultaneously establishes their correlations and reveal the holistic mechanism.  Current fluorescence imaging, however, is limited to about four colors because of typically ~100‐nm spectral width.  Here we show that molecular supracence imparts superior spectral resolution, resolving eight colors in 300‐nm width, about 37.5‐nm per color.  A recently discovered light‐molecule interacting phenomenon, supracence only measures molecular emission above its excitation...

A weighted ensemble-based active learning model to label microarray data
Abstract Classification of cancerous genes from microarray data is an important research area in bioinformatics. Large amount of microarray data are available, but it is very costly to label them. This paper proposes an active learning model, a semi-supervised classification approach, to label the microarray data using which predictions can be made even with lesser amount of labeled data. Initially, a pool of unlabeled instances is given from which some instances are randomly chosen...
