Fermi Degenerate Antineutrino Star Model of Dark Energy
When the Large Hadron Collider resumes operations in 2021, several experiments will directly measure the motion of antihydrogen in free fall for the first time. Our current understanding of the universe is not yet fully prepared for the possibility that antimatter has negative gravitational mass. This paper proposes a model of cosmology, where the state of high energy density of the big bang is created by the collapse of an antineutrino star that has exceeded its Chandrasekhar limit. To allow the...

The Design of an Ultralow-Power Ultra-wideband (5 GHz–10 GHz) Low Noise Amplifier in 0.13 μm CMOS Technology
The calculation and design of an ultralow-power Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) are proposed in this paper. The LNA operates from 5 GHz to 10 GHz, and forward body biasing technique is used to bring down power consumption of the circuit. The design revolves around precise calculations related to input impedance, output impedance, and the gain of the circuit. MATLAB and Advanced Design System (ADS) are utilized to design and simulate the LNA. In addition, TSMC 0.13 μm CMOS process is used in ADS. The LNA...

Optimization of an On-Grid Inverter for PV Applications Using Genetic Algorithms
A new approach to the optimal design of power inverters for on-grid photovoltaic systems that uses genetic algorithms (GA) is provided in this article. The nonlinear average model is adopted to model the conversion stage in order to accurately evaluate and quickly estimate the power losses of the power devices. The hysteresis current control that guarantees a quasi-sinusoidal output current is applied to generate the inverter control signals. The design of the solar inverter must meet three contradictory...

Effect of Magnetic Field Coupled Deep Cryogenic Treatment on Wear Resistance of AISI 4140 Steel
In this study, a new magnetic field coupled deep cryogenic treatment (MDCT) is developed and its effect on wear resistance of AISI 4140 steel is investigated. Compared with wear resistance of untreatment (UT), wear resistance of MDCT increases by 29%. Wear resistance is inversely proportional to the friction coefficient. The treatment promotes the phase transformation and dislocation movement to generate more martensite in multidirectional distribution and optimized carbide. It enhances material...

Effects of Mesenchymal Stem Cell Coculture on Human Lung Small Airway Epithelial Cells
Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) and their secreted extracellular vesicles have been used effectively in different lung disease animal models and clinical trials. Their specific beneficial effects, the potential differences between MSCs derived from different organs, and interactions between MSC products and target cells still need to be studied further. Therefore, we investigated the effects of secreted products of human MSCs derived from the bone marrow and adipose tissue on human lung small airway...

Stochastic Restricted LASSO-Type Estimator in the Linear Regression Model
Among several variable selection methods, LASSO is the most desirable estimation procedure for handling regularization and variable selection simultaneously in the high-dimensional linear regression models when multicollinearity exists among the predictor variables. Since LASSO is unstable under high multicollinearity, the elastic-net (Enet) estimator has been used to overcome this issue. According to the literature, the estimation of regression parameters can be improved by adding prior information...

Weighted Moving Averages for a Series of Fuzzy Numbers Based on Nonadditive Measures with σ − λ Rules and Choquet Integral of Fuzzy-Number-Valued Function
The aim of this study is to generalize moving average by means of Choquet integral. First, by employing nonadditive measures with δ − λ rules, the calculation of the moving average for a series of fuzzy numbers can be transformed into Choquet integration of fuzzy-number-valued function under discrete case. Meanwhile, the Choquet integral of fuzzy number and Choquet integral of fuzzy number vector are defined. Finally, some properties are investigated by means of convolution formula of Choquet integral....

Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo and Occult Subarachnoid Hemorrhage Complicated after Head Trauma
Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) is the most prevalent form of peripheral vertigo and is common in posttraumatic patients. Sometimes, posttraumatic BPPV and subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) exist together. How to effectively recognize SAH especially concealed bleeding before maneuver treatment for BPPV is worth paying attention by every clinician. Presently described is a case that when there are some clinical symptoms cannot be completely explained by simple BPPV, the combination of CT and...

Stability and Stabilization for a Class of Semilinear Fractional Differential Systems
This paper considers a class of semilinear fractional-order systems with Caputo derivative. New conditions ensuring asymptotic stability and stabilization of fractional systems with the fractional order between 0 and 2 are proposed. The analysis is based on a property of convolution and asymptotic properties of Mittag-Leffler functions. Some numerical examples are provided to illustrate the feasibility and validity of the proposed approach.

Kaji-Ichigoside F1 and Rosamultin Protect Vascular Endothelial Cells against Hypoxia-Induced Apoptosis via the PI3K/AKT or ERK1/2 Signaling Pathway
As a pair of differential isomers, Kaji-ichigoside F1 and Rosamultin are both pentacyclic triterpenoids isolated from the subterranean root of Potentilla anserina L., a plant used in folk medicine in western China as antihypoxia and anti-inflammatory treatments. We demonstrated that Kaji-ichigoside F1 and Rosamultin effectively prevented hypoxia-induced apoptosis in vascular endothelial cells. We established a hypoxia model, using EA.hy926 cells, to further explore the mechanisms. Hypoxia promoted...

Lymphocyte activation gene 3 (LAG3) protein expression on tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes in aggressive and TP53 -mutated salivary gland carcinomas
Abstract Salivary gland carcinomas (SGCs) are rare and can be subdivided into distinct entities, some of which confer a poor prognosis. As targets for effective systemic therapy are warranted, some studies investigated the role of immune-checkpoint proteins PD-L1 and CTLA-4 in SGC. Our study depicts the expression of lymphocyte activation gene 3 (LAG3) in a test cohort and a larger validation cohort, totaling 139 SGCs.
